Once again

When you’re torn down clear to your foundation and another big storm comes through months later, there’s not much there for it to destroy.

Patience, the missing virtue

We’ve all heard the saying “Patience is a virtue” but anymore we only use it in a demeaning manor or to basically tell someone to quit whining and wait patiently.  But these days it seems patience is in very short supply.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the instant gratification as much as the next guy, but things are getting out of hand.  We expect our fast food to be even faster, free 2-day shipping is still and forever-long wait, and pre-ordering and pre-release and pre-this, pre-that are very common words.  But did we ever stop to think that maybe the suspense is part of the fun?  Maybe the waiting and looking forward to something helps generate the excitement?  Or possibly skipping ahead in line and ticking off everyone around you is causing more and more anger?  If patience really is a virtue, and I think it is, a lot of people seem to have forgotten that and replaced it with greed.

Welcome to my NEW site!

It’s been quite a few years since I had my own personal website.  I tried out the Google sites, but it was pretty clunky to work around and didn’t have the feel that I liked.  After giving up Christian Gamers Network and then turning over control of The Fish and Break Trick website to someone else, I haven’t really had a webpage to maintain.  I tried to start Fountain Gun Club, but few people in my area seemed interested in something like that.

Anyway, the site is fully functional and I’m *slowly* adding content.  I’m trying to back-date some things for the timeline to be correct, so this post will probably not be the “oldest” on the site even though it’s technically the “first”.
